Yellow Barhi Dates (Khalal Barhi) | 1 lb

We have a limited quantity of Phoenix grown Yellow Barhi Dates, or Khalal Barhi. Barhi (Barhee) dates in the Khalal stage of development, also known as Yellow Barhi, are harvested prior to their ripening. At this stage, Barhi are crunchy (like an apple) with a crisp texture and semi-sweet flavor. Yellow Barhi dates are best enjoyed within a few weeks. Get them while they last!!
 
Following the Khalal stage, dates in a semi-ripe state are called Rutab dates. Rutab dates are usually extra juicy, soft, and building in sweetness. In the final development stage, Tamar (Tamr), dates become the sweetest, "dried" texture that we most commonly enjoy as date lovers.
