Originally from Algeria, Rhars dates were first imported to the US in 1900. They are a soft, sweet variety with a tangy flavor.

Grown at the ASU Date Grove. With over 40 varieties, the ASU Germplasm collection in one of the largest collections of date palms in the US. A date germplasm is a grove intended to perserve the genetic materials of different date varieties for future generations.
