We are proud to offer Black Sphinx Dates for the past 70 years. In fact, our business was named after this local delicacy when founded back in the 1950's! Refrigerate upon arrival.

This hybrid date spontaneously appeared during the 1920's in the early date farming days of Phoenix. Smaller, sweeter, with a thinner skin than Medjool Dates, Black Sphinx Dates are only found in Arizona, primarily in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. Black Sphinx have been identified as an Ark of Taste food by Slow Food USA. The Ark of Taste program includes over 200 delicious foods that are at risk of extinction.
