Sphinx Date Co. and ASU's Date Palm Germplasm Team Up

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with ASU Polytechnic’s Date Palm Germplasm, which grows and harvests rare and unique varieties of dates. This year, we’ll be offering a good portion of the harvest at Sphinx and over the coming weeks will be processing dates to get them ready for sale in store and online.

Make a “date” with some of our newest and most unique varieties of dates, available now as part of our partnership with ASU Polytechnic’s Date Palm Germplasm, home to a rare assortment of 140 date palm trees, one of the largest date palm collections of any public garden in the US. Arboretum, and featuring more than 50 varieties. Come in and sample a “date flight” today!

ASU Polytechnic’s Date Palm Germplasm located on their Mesa campus has supplied us with some of the rarest and hardest to find dates in the country. Through this partnership, we’re excited to share with our date lovers some varieties that aren’t even grown by any commercial farm in the country.
