Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is just around the corner and it’s time to start planning what to give Dad and how to spend the day. Sphinx Date Co. offers a few fun and heartfelt suggestions for celebrating Dad in style this year.

BBQ Gift Basket — Many dads love spending a summer day manning the grill or smoker. So why not give Dad a basket filled with the supplies and goodies to up his BBQ game? The proper tools are important — so start with a good grilling utensil set plus a grate brush or cleaner. Of course a great piece of smoked meat or grilled burgers are enhanced by flavor. Check a local BBQ supply store for some locally owned or produced spices and seasonings as well as sauces to finish the meat.

Monthly Subscription — Does Dad love bacon? Cheese? Whiskey? Why not gift him with something that he can enjoy all year round such as a monthly subscription that ships him one of his favorite things? Murray’s Cheese, for example, offers a Cheese of the Month Club, while companies like Flavier offers tasting boxes of fine spirits including craft gems and private bottlings that aren’t available at local liquor stores.

Beer or Wine Tasting Experience — On the topic of beverages, why not treat Dad to a wine-tasting or craft-beer tasting experience at a local winery tasting room or craft brew pub? There is no shortage of either around the valley and a quick internet search can pinpoint suggestions nearby that offer tasting experiences.

Day on the Lake or the Greens — Sure dads are known for loving grilling, but maybe they’d prefer to take the day off from the grill and spend it on the lake or the golf course instead. The valley has an incredible selection of amazing courses to choose from. Consider an early morning or later evening tee time to take advantage of cooler temperatures. And a variety of lakes that offer boat rentals or fishing charters are just a short drive away. Nearby are Lake Pleasant, Apache Lake, Bartlett Lake, Roosevelt Lake and others where dad can spend a relaxing day catching fish or simply soaking up the sunshine. Make sure those fishing licenses are current and handy before tossing out a line!

Homemade Dinner — Of course dads would love something straight from the heart and often times that starts in the kitchen! Consider making Dad his favorite meal this Father’s Day. Whether it’s a fancy steak and lobster dinner or a big bowl of comforting spaghetti, Dad is sure to appreciate this heart-felt (and yummy!) gesture.

Regardless of what Dad is gifted, mostly likely he’s just looking for a nice relaxing day spent with loved ones. And when looking for some Arizona-grown artisan gifts for Dad, stop into the Palm & Pantry or visit our online shop today!
